Since 1998 we have built numerous
web sites and custom
web applications on the Microsoft server platform. The
vast majority of these are hosted in our facility and
maintained by our staff. As we move forward, we continue
to embrace Microsoft's leading server platforms and .NET
development languages. Our development experience spans

Web Applications
Our experience includes transactional business
applications built for Fortune 500 clients using
Microsoft tools and server technologies. These
applications can streamline business processes and
improve collaboration by providing suppliers and
customers with 24x7 interfaces. A dedicated hosting
infrastructure is typically required to ensure
performance, availability and security requirements are
met. Our experience includes custom ActiveX server
components, XML schemas, web services, SQL Server 7/2000
database development, systems integration, and
utilization of network load balancing and other
high-availability technologies.
Intranets & Portals
Intranets use the same technologies as Internet web
sites, but run on a company’s internal network.
Intranets are very common in larger companies, but are
rapidly being adopted by small and medium-sized
businesses too. Typical uses of Intranets include;
document management, search, company announcements,
classifieds, calendars, project collaboration, etc.
We have developed Intranets and portal-based sites for a
variety of clients. Sites can be developed from a
commercial product such as
Microsoft’s SharePoint Server or built using a
custom framework and pre-built modules.
Information Retrieval and Search
We have developed special expertise in building and
searching extremely large databases of unstructured
text. This expertise was gained while developing
BoardReader, a
sophisticated search engine, for an Ypsilanti, MI
startup. Since early 2001 we have been the primary
developer and operator of the technology. The system
utilizes
Texis, a high performance, state-of-the-art text
retrieval and publishing software solution from
Thunderstone
Software. Applications of this technology include
document retrieval and management, data warehousing,
business intelligence, data mining and knowledge
management systems and solutions.
